17 more days and 2022 would be another year swept under the carpets.

😮‍💨 😅 😌 this has been one hell of a year. At some point I asked myself if I was a rubber band and wondered how long my elasticity would last before snapping. Work was working me off and the economic hardship wasn’t making things any better.

Even if I got to my breaking point and snapped, I’m pretty sure my team and 2 musketeers would tie up my two snapped ends and continue the stretch. I wasn’t allowed to snooze.

Earlier this year like every repentant Nigerian, I’d set out personal development goals one of them being professional certification/s before the end of the year. Somehow navigating through my new role and getting a firm footing on the job got in the way. 😞 😔 😢

I decided not to tag myself a sore loser or a procrastinator or even scold myself for loosing sight of this task because this wasn’t just a slipping task. It was sound asleep and snoring too. In fact it had a nice duvet and soft pillow to go. 😂 😂 😂

2023, we dust our feet and go at it again. After all, we’re permitted to keep falling, it’s the rising up moment that counts, you’re not allowed to stay down and wallow in self pity. Dust your bum or whatever side of your body you fell on and hit that restart button.

If the sun rises and sets everyday, then it shows I still have that opportunity to try again.

The next few posts I’d share would be inspired by a mantra I’ve chosen to meditate on every night before bed and first thing in the morning when I wake up — Attitude of gratitude. So while you’re here, here’s my question- what are you thankful for today?

Tonight I’m thankful for time and opportunities to start again.
